What is a MedSpa?

The word MedSpa, or Med Studio, has recently become a popular name for an aesthetic center that is, in many ways, a cross between a traditional day spa and a doctor’s office.

Most MedSpas provide non-surgical aesthetic treatments performed by medical professionals such as physician’s assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and medical aestheticians. Many of the treatments provided at a MedSpa require physician supervision and are not available at traditional day spas. This allows MedSpas to offer more aggressive, more effective, and more thorough treatments.

What sort of treatments are offered at a MedSpa?

Many MedSpas also include spa services such as facials, waxing, light chemical peels, and permanent hair removal. Most medical spas utilize a variety of lasers and intense pulsed light technology to treat aging and/or damaged skin.

Additional services offered at medical spas may include Botox® injections, dermal fillers, microdermabrasion, micropigmentation (permanent make-up), and varicose vein treatment.

Do you take walk-ins?

Although we make every effort to assist walk-in clients, it is highly recommended that you schedule your appointment in advance to ensure that we can serve all clients effectively. Please call the clinic at 417-889-5274 to schedule an appointment.

Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes ahead of your first appointment with us to complete new client paperwork.

We will make a courtesy call to you at least 24 hours before your appointment as a reminder, but we do ask that you assume the responsibility for remembering your appointments.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please contact the clinic as soon as possible to let us know. We do request at least 24 hours advance notice for cancellations and you may be charged a cancellation fee if you are unable to provide proper notice.

Do you treat minors?

Minors are always welcome for treatment when accompanied by a parent or with a prior signed consent form. Childcare services are not provided on site and out of respect for all of our guests, we ask that children do not accompany you to a scheduled appointment.

What is your payment policy?

Payment is due for all services when rendered. We accept cash, personal checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and CareCredit. We do not offer any in-house financing options.

Are tips or gratuities necessary?

Although gratuities are not customary for clinical treatments, they are appreciated for our spa services such as eyelash extensions and chemical peels. Gratuities may be given at your discretion in appreciation to our staff for providing outstanding services.

Do you offer gift cards?

Give the gift of beauty to that someone special! Gift cards are available for purchase in any denomination over the phone or at the clinic. All gift card purchases are non-refundable.
